AAUASU Election: Management Declares 'Thursday' Lecture-free Day

Ahead of tomorrow's Students Union Election, the management of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), has declared Thursday 4th of May as a lecture-free day for all students of the institution.

The lecture-free day is meant for the students to troop en masse to elect a new set of executives that will pilot their affairs for the 2022/2023 academic session. 

The approval circular was signed by the University's Registrar, Olugbenga Arajulu.

The statement read: “This is to inform the students of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko that the Vice Chancellor has graciously approved Thursday, 4th May, 2023 as lecture-free day.

"This is to enable all students of the University to participate in the Students' Union election slated for Thursday, 4th May, 2023. All students are therefore encouraged to participate in the election process.

"By copies of this circular, Deans and Heads of the Departments are requested to note the contents of this circular and inform all lecturers in their respective Faculties and Departments, please. Thank you.”
