A fresh graduate of the Philosophy department of Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba Akoko, Ondo, Ogunleye Gbenga Moses popularly known as Pablo had reportedly died earlier today.
According to a source in his villa, Gbenga complained of food poisoning after eating in a restaurant in Akungba yesterday with his girlfriend, after which they went for treatment in Aduloju hospital in Iwaro and later was discharged.
"Gbenga and his girlfriend complained of food poisoning after returning from an unknown restaurant yesterday. They went to the hospital where they were both treated for typhoid.
After the deceased was discharged yesterday, we were made to understand that his girlfriend's health was critical, and was just discharged this morning," the source said.
"Unfortunately, we barged into his room around 11 am when we noticed he did not open his door. He is a lovely and entertaining person so he comes out as early as possible. The moment we noticed he was not responding to calls and knocks on his door, we barged into his room through his window."
The AAUASU President-elect, Adekanye Mayomi Adebomi (INEC), his departmental mate in a phone call with ECHO Media noted that his death has not been ascertained.
However, the Dean of student affairs, Prof. Olusegun Akanbi affirmed that his death was confirmed, asserting that deceased died this morning.
"The Head of Department of Philosophy just called me and it was discovered that he passed on this morning, and his parent already came,"he noted
As at press time, the details of his death are unknown as further investigations are still ongoing.
