EKSU Management Shifts Examinations For Security Reasons

The Management of Ekiti State University has postponed  the First Semester examination which was originally scheduled to begin on Monday 17, 2019.

In a press release signed by the Registrar of the institution, Mr Akin Arogundade, the new date for the examination is Monday, 1st July 2019.

The postponement according to the statement is to ensure security of lives and properties on campus and its environs.

Consequently, all academic activities on campus has been postponed till Monday 1st July, 2019, while students are expected back on campus on Sunday, 30th June, 2019.

The press statement also directed all students preparing for exams to ensure payment of all necessary  fees, as evidences of payment would be used for clearance and examination permit.

The University community, parents ,and Guardians  are assured of adequate security on campus as well as the safety of staff and students .

ECHO gathered that the SUG of the institution called for a Congress on Sunday afternoon to address the issue of the examination.

The complaints were that students were yet to make payment of their tuition fee. After the congress,  the management called the Union Leaders to a dialogue where the agreement was reached.
