Photo News: SOMASSA Hold Pre-Orientation Programme For New Students

It was an atmosphere filled with crowd as the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences of Ajasin Varsity gave their new students a Pre-Orientation programme to help set their path right.

The programme which was monitored by ECHO MEDIA Correspondents was held at the ETF 750-Capacity Lecture hall and was filled with students from different departments under the Faculty.

The President, Omoboriowo Oluwatosin aka Prof.Orubebe while ddressing the new students advised them to be good ambassadors of their Faculties and the school at large.

During the programme, various Departmental Presidents were invited to speak to the students and give them words of encouragement.

Suspected Cultists Attack Ex-union Leader

Immediate past Students’ Union Government (SUG) President of the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) in Ondo State, Adegbola Oduyemi has been allegedly attacked by suspected cult members in his hostel. He was reportedly macheted on the head.

Police Shoot At Protesting Ondo University Students, Injure One

Anti-riot policemen on Monday shot at some protesting students of Adekunle Ajasin University (AAUA) Akungba Akoko in Ondo state, injuring at least one person.
The students were protesting peacefully over the hike in their tuitions fees by over 500 % by the management of the institution.

After a meeting on Sunday ended in deadlock, the student union leaders in Ondo has directed that no one should pay the increased fee and should not resume.
 
ECHO learnt that the meeting was to resolve the tension created by the increase in school fees of the Ondo state-owned Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko.
