AAUA DECIDES: SUPREME EMERGES PRESIDENT

The Student Union Electoral Commission of Adekunle Ajasin University, has declared Obagunwa Oluwasegun Daniel (Supreme) of the Faculty of Education as the president-elect of the Student Union Government.

Obagunwa who polled 1,664 votes, defeated his closet opponent, Olowokere Olorunsaanumi Godspower (Baba Shade), who polled 963 votes.

It could be recalled that the election had earlier been conducted on October 12, 2019, but was suspended due to electoral manipulation by unknown individuals.

While declaring the winner at the faculty of Law Lecture Theatre, the chairman of SUEC, Dr Stephen Aina declared that Obagunwa Oluwasegun Daniel had satisfied the requirement of law and polled the highest votes amongst others, who vied for the same position.

Others announced winners across various positions were:  Akinlalu Funmilayo Valentinah (Valentinah) as Vice President, Taiwo Oluwagbogo Joel (Joelistic Joel)  as General Secretary, Adegbeyeni Oluwafemi Mathew (Barryfem) as  Public Relation Officer, Oni Oluwatobi Samuel (Emir) as Financial Secretary, Alabi Emmanuel Olorunfemi (Geo-Emmy) as Treasurer, Oseni  Ridwan Omosola (Oscent) as Welfare Director, Emoruwa Adeoye Great (Adegreat) as Social Director, Adelowo Adebayo Michael (Lovebayor) as Sport Director, Olaiya Anthony Oyedamola (Mr Tony) as Assistant General Secretary.
