The Welfare Director of Adekunle Ajasin University Students' Union, Comrade Ridwan Oseni, has been reinstated to office after 2 months of impeachment.
He was reinstated by the Students' Representative Committee (SRC) of the AAUASU during its sitting, yesterday
Comrade Oscent's returned to office based on the recommendation of the committee set-up to examine the allegations leveled against him.
According to a report submitted to the house, Oscent has served his proposed suspension term.
The report reads, "In her review, the committee observed that the embattled welfare director had apologized at the floor of the house, felt remorseful, and deeply regretted his actions.
"Furthermore, the motion of the impeachment raised by Senator Johndammy was reversed as provided for in the AAUASU constitution.
"The committee thereby proposes that the Welfare Director should be suspended for 2 months starting from the day he was impeached, 11th of March, 2021.
"Today being the 20th of May, 2021 makes it 2 months and 9 days the welfare director was impeached. Ultimately, he has served his suspension term and be reinstated accordingly."
Comrade Ridwan Oseni Omosola was earlier impeached for the negligence of duties, gross misconduct (unruly behaviour, verbal assault on distinguished senators), and some actions unbecoming of a Student Executive Council (SEC) member.
