The Education Students Association of Nigeria, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba- Akoko has commenced its Dean's cup competition for this session.
The competition started on Thursday at the University's Sports Complex.
The opening football match saw Human Kinetics and Health Education beat Social Science Education team 2-0.
Meanwhile, the National Association of Science Education Students(NASES) grabbed a 3-1 victory over Adult Education(ADE).
In an online interview, the Sports Director of the Faculty, Arthur Emmanuel said, "It's a great feeling that the biggest sporting event, which all ESANites are all looking forward to starts today. We promise to give them the best"
He further emphasized the importance of the competition to the students of the faculty,
He stated, "It brings abou the sporting spirit. Also, sport unites people, so it serves as a way of preaching oneness.
The competition includes: football, scrabble, athletics, lawn tennis, ludo, ps3.
