SamPraise-Led Administration To Provide Campus Shuttles and Cabs.

The Immediate Past President of Adekunle Ajasin University Students' Union, Samuel Adesomoju, "SamPraise", has announced his administration's partnership with the Blue Cab Transport Company to make more shuttles and cabs available on campus.

According to him, 5 new cars and 6 14-sitter buses will soon start operations within the environment of the campus.

Adesomoju stated this recently while giving his handing-over address during the inauguration of the 2019/2020 Students' Union leaders.

Speaking on other achievements of his administration, he said, "Our administration was able to achieve not only a peaceful tenure, of which no member was suspended despite situation warranting such.

" Other achievements were: opening of the portal through out the two semesters we served, back end registration penalty fees was reversed from N5,000 to N2,000 for each semester in the last session, reduction of field trips and departmental association fee to a unified amount of N1,000, scrapping of faculty dues, reduction of practical fees, agitation for constant power supply in which an agreement of at 6 hours power supply  for academic works was reached, freshers' game, freshers' orientation, face of AAUA, academic tutorial, inter-faculty debate from office of AAUASU Vice President, collaboration with Itel Mobile to organize dance competition during the last student Union week."

However, SamPraise lamented the low allocation of funds to the Students' Union.

According to him, funding the Union will help it to embark on human capital projects other than incentives.

Adesomoju further noted the increment in the school fees, and the inability to provide poverty alleviation scheme for students witnessing financial issues, as challenges faced in office.
