AAUA MASS COMM HOLDS ORIENTATION FOR FRESHERS

To officially welcome the newly admitted students into the department, the National Association of Mass Communication Students organized an orientation programme on Wednesday.

Activities at the event were: students-lecturers forum, panel discussion, medal presentation, artists performances, beauty pageant.

Speaking during the students-lecturers forum, the Head of Department,  John Oyewole urged students to see the lecturers as parents and be free to discuss with them when facing challenges.

Oyewole who was represented by a lecturer, Mr Toyin Adinlewe noted that not all issues are to be taken to the Head of the department, adding that the department has provided each level with advisers.

In his words "Dim it fit to always meet your lecturers and level advisers on any burning issue bothering you as a student".
He further educated the students on the proper way of attempting questions in an examination hall.

On his part, the President of the Department, Adesola Ikulajolu urged the newly admitted students to be cultured, respectful, goal-setter and getters.

Ikulajolu appreciated the departmental lecturers and other executives of the department for their full support since he resumed.

The event ended being a burst of emotions and excitement as Faith Akinsanmi emerged as the Miss Fresher, and Temidayo Oguntomesho was crowned Mr Fresher.
