The National Universities Commission (NUC) has accredited 28 programmes at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, AAUA.
The programmes were presented for review by the institution at the recent 2023 periodic accreditation exercise.
The Vice-Chancellor of AAUA, Prof. Olugbenga Ige disclosed this while speaking with members of the University Information Unit on Monday, June 10, 2024.
Prof. Ige congratulated all staff and students of the institution on this feat, calling for more efforts to sustain the rising profile of the institution among other universities.
“The significant success we achieved in the recent accreditation exercise is a testament to the collective efforts of all stakeholders, especially our staff and students. I sincerely appreciate all the hard work that went into this process,” he said.
While waiting for the official lists of the accredited programmes, the programmes are set to commence in the 2024/2025 academic sessions.
Accreditation exercises are periodic checks and peer review processes carried out by scholars and researchers chosen by the NUC.
