The Adekunle Ajasin University Student Union Government has called on all students to observe a private fasting and prayer session on Saturday, January 30, 2021.
This was stated yesterday in a circular signed by the Student Union Government President, Comrade Obagunwa Oluwasegun.
According to him, the spiritual exercise is to seek God's protection over the students and community.
Echo Media had earlier reported a ghastly accident that claimed about 20 lives at the front of the school main gate on Saturday evening.
Other parts of the circular read, "Note: We are all expected to be in a state of purity as we observe the prayer and fast on God’s protection for us and the entire community. Also, The fast can be elongated according to our individual strength.
"Lastly, it's advisable we break our fast with fruits, preferably Oranges.
"As the spirit leads, let's do this as the only weapon of averting evil in our community.
"May God answer our prayers!"
