In anticipation of the 2023/2024 matriculation taking place tomorrow, the management of Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State, has cautioned against any mistreatment of new students on matriculation day.
The management, in a circular signed today by the Registrar, Olugbenga ARAJULU, FCAI, JP, emphasized that any reports of uncivilized behaviour towards freshers will not be tolerated.
Students are advised to conduct themselves properly in the most civilized manner, and it was noted that any student or group of students found engaging in such behaviour will face severe sanctions.
The matriculation ceremony is scheduled to take place tomorrow, Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Olusegun Obasanjo Hall (OBJ) at 10 am.
The circular reads: "CIRCULAR TO ALL STAFF AND STUDENTS*
MATRICULATION CEREMONY FOR 2023/2024 ACADEMIC SESSION - WARNING AGAINST UNCIVILIZED BEHAVIOR TOWARDS FRESH STUDENTS
"The Matriculation ceremony for the 2023/2024 academic session will be held tomorrow, Thursday, 14th March, 2024.
"All students are urged to conduct themselves properly in the most civilized manner. There must be no reports of any kind of mistreatment of Fresh or Matriculating students by any student or group of students.
"Any student or group of students caught engaging in any act of mistreatment of any student, particularly Fresh students, will face severe sanctions. Please be properly guided.
