In recognition of students who have exemplified the best attributes in their chosen fields, Emmanuel Peter has been named the Most Outstanding Student in Journalism at the 2021 AAUA Insider Awards.
Emmanuel, who is a 100-level student of the Department of Sociology and a reporter of Echo Media emerged as the winner of one of the 9 categories of awards presented on Saturday at OBJ Hall, Adekunle Ajasin University.
In an interview with him, he noted that winning the award was a charge to do more in journalism.
He said, "I was so amazed when I was announced as the winner of the most outstanding student in Journalism among the excelling 4 nominees."
"There is nobody among the nominees who does not deserve the award. Thank God I won, but it is a great privilege and also a great challenge to work harder in serving humanity.
"Service to humanity matters. I don't know the majority of the people who nominated me, but they did it based on the humanitarian services I have rendered to them in my little way."
He added, "To my fellow nominees, I will keep on looking up to them. The persons of Ikulajolu Adesola, Anjorin Philip, and Agbelusi Samuel."

AAUA Insider Awards 2021 is the first event organized by the AAUA Insider, one of the media outfits in Adekunle Ajasin University.
