FACULTY OF EDUCATION: 4 WEEKS GONE FROM THE 6 WEEKS STUDENTS TEACHING PRACTICE


—Supervision emerges

The Education students of Adekunle Ajasin Varsity — AAUA, have spent 4 of the 6-week of teaching practice scheme and having to resume back over campus in the next fortnight.

The teaching practice scheme which kicked off third week after resumption into a new 2015/2016 academic session will be brought to final whistle in two weeks time.

Supervision of the students on teaching practice has as well begun. According to the sound out with one of the student teachers by our spokesperson has it that, "So far, the lecturers on supervision have started coming to supervise us. And it has been so well."

A 400 level student of Biology Education, Adebo Adegboye observing his teaching practice at Oroke Community High School told one of our spokesmen about the journey far spent. He mentioned, "The practice has been a good and an experienced one."

One of the student teachers in AUD Grammar School, Amoko Emmanuel, a 400 level student of Adult Education and subject teacher for Civic Education alleged his experience. "...though the students seem not serious, but as for me they are serious with my classes because the way I relate with them; sometimes, I do things to draw their audience towards me."

Opeyemi Ayodeji Godwin a 300 level student of Health Science Education also expressed the race. "I must confess sincerely, having been my first time, I thought it would be very difficult as I was told about the challenges ahead of me; but I thank God, everything went well."
"As regarding the issue of supervision, immediately I set my eyes on him, I was frightened, shocked; being my first time, as soon as he gets to me, ask questions, I felt ease." He furtherly added.
