SOSSA Election: Coco Bagzz Wins With Landslide Votes

Ikuemonisan Julius Ademibo, a 300-level student of the Mass Communication Department also known as Coco Bagzz, has won the presidential seat of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko.

Ikuemonisan today won with 1,215 votes, defeating his opponent Akosile Olawafisolami from the Economics Department, also known as FISOLA, who secured 326 votes.

He was declared the winner by the chairman of the SOSSA Independent Student Electoral Committee (ISEC), Onawale Oluwadamilola after the end of the 2023/2024 SOSSA election.

In other contested positions, Justina Ogbaji won the vice presidency with 1,299 votes, beating Olauwadar Faith Omohimoria who got 208 votes. 

Bolu Ojo, also known as Horlamiwale, won the Welfare position with 964 votes, while Olugboyega Oluseyi, also known as Atom, won the General Secretary position with 963 votes.

Some candidates ran unopposed, including Folagbade Greatness Ayoola for Public Relations Officer (PRO), Ganiyu Quadri for Assistant General Secretary (AGS), Racheal Oluwamayomide Mayor for Treasurer, and Ebijimi Boluwatife Moyosore for Social Director.

The SOSSA ISEC commended the transparency of the election and urged all students to support the newly elected candidates.
