The Department of Political Science at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, has directed the indefinite ban of the National Association of Political Science Students (NAPSS) AAUA chapter.
This directive was contained in a circular signed by the Acting Head of Department, Dr. N.H. Iwu, yesterday.
The decision was made due to the department's unsuccessful attempts to intervene and resolve the political crisis within the association, which allegedly involved blackmail, threats, name-calling, protests, and assault.
Although no current executives have been formally removed, according to the circular, their tenure has ended, and the department will oversee the completion of ongoing projects.
Consequently, all NAPSS activities, events, and social media-related platforms have also been closed indefinitely.
Incumbent executive members have been instructed to return all association assets to the departmental secretary within 48 hours of receiving the circular.
