The Students from the department of Mass communication at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko went on their annual, but this time to Ikogosi warm springs, and Fresh FM.
It has been a conventional exhibition in the department for the students to go on media tours and also see gorgeous sightseer tracts outside the school area.
Following the visit to Fresh FM Ado-Ekiti the day before, the students in two school buses toured Ikogosi warm springs, alongside the newly elected Student Union President who is also a member of the department, Comrade Kolade Olumide Multiple, under the leadership of Adagba Promise who is the serving president of the department.
There was a total number of 65 students on board. Many beg the question to know why the President chose Ekiti State Warm Spring despite the fact that some of the students have been there in their 100L/200L days.
The President, Adagba Promise revealed that "I chose Ikogosi spring because of the warm spring which meets the cold spring at a confluence, each maintaining its thermal properties. Also, the big pool is another reason for choosing ikogosi, students would be able to chill inside the water and relax as it is also for healing purposes".
He however emphasized that the experience was a great and unforgettable one for them all.
Tomilade, a 200level student disclosed that she had fun and learned new things. She said; "Going to Fresh FM, Ado-Ekiti was a good idea because going in the production room was intriguing. Wow! It was indeed fresh; the recording studio wasn't bad also. I will say everything about Fresh FM was fresh! Getting to the hotel even if I didn't dance everything was still okay. To the best of it all is Ikogosi's warm and cold spring: touching cold water and hot at the same place and it did not mix was a wonder. It was fun seeing the two springs then I think the one we had fun doing was going to the swimming pool. It made sense even if though I did not swim, at least I became a photographer and I knew we all had fun. The experience in total was lit and I had fun too".
A 300level student, Akinlonu Oluwatobi who disclosed that he would love to also be a President one day affirmed that the tour was nice and fascinating.
When asked if something similar and better would take place if he emerge as the President, he said; "It depends. We will research on the best possible places to have our excursion. And we wouldn't want people that have already been there to go again. So we will probably find somewhere new".
Amongst the executives of the current administration is Babalola Olamilekan also known as Adam Blinks who is the current general secretary of the department and also a native of Ekiti state commented on his experience.
"it's been a while since I went there, also looking at the fact that I am going with my colleagues from school. It was worthwhile. I didn't want to leave but we had no choice."
The Vice President of the department, Aladenika Olayiwola Niffy also made her comments, "To be candid I have not attended any excursion as a Namacosite but I attended this because I am the vice president of the same Association. The excursion was awesome and memorable though we went through a lot of stress the partying eased it all."
