AAUA Inducts New SUG Executives

 The newly elected students' Union executives of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State have finally had their conventional inauguration rite.

The 19th inauguration event was held at the Obasanjo Multipurpose Hall of the University, and it kicked off with an entry pageant by the paramilitary and a recital of the school anthem and national anthem.

The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Olugbenga Ige with other stakeholders of the university graced the occasion with their presence and notification words of the task ahead of the students representatives as leaders and link between other students and the school management.

The 21st Century University Vice Chancellor, Prof Ige introduced the newly elected Students' Union executives, Students' Representative Council(SRC) as well as the Students' Judicial Council(SJC) and administered the oath of office to them. 

Prof Ige encouraged the executives to thread the part of peace, dialogue and in conjunction with negotiation  in solving issues and also work hand in hand with the SRC and SJC.

He said, "As executives of the students, you are to serve as their representatives and to act as the interface between the students and the University Management on one hand, and as arbiters between the students themselves on the other. You are expected to present the challenges confronting them to the relevant authorities for action, therefore, the assignments before you require seriousness and commitment."

The Dean of Student Affairs, Segun Akanbi in his opening address stated that the election was duly followed. 

He also appreciated the Vice-Chancellor and the SUEC members for allowing the election process to go smoothly without personal interest or interference.

He further urged the Vice-Chancellor and others to organize leadership training for the newly elected executives to function properly in their respective positions.

The certificate of return was presented to the Students' Union executives by the school registrar, Gbenga Arajulu.

The newly elected executives include Kolade Olumide aka (Multiple) as the president, Salami Kudirat(Kemzy) as the vice president, Adeyefa Tolulope(Elite) as the General secretary, Akinsulure Simbo(Asimbi) as the public relations officer, Odole Mojisola(Voice) as the welfare director, Okeke Patrick(Patoskki) as the social director, Jackson Oluwafemi as the sports director and Akinwalere Omoniyi Neyor as the Assistant General secretary.
