AAUA Reopens Backend in Two Weeks, Effective Dec. 2

By Daniel Akinte

The management of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), has announced a two-week reopening of backend registration for late school fee payments.

According to the university, this will take effect from today December 2 through December 15, 2024.

This decision was made public in a statement released by the School's Senate on November 28, 2024, to provide an opportunity for students who have yet to pay their school fees and complete their course registration for the 2023/2024 academic session.

Recall Echo Media's report where the Vice Chancellor, Professor Olugbenga Ige, declared backend registration in AAUA "gone forever."

However, according to the statement, the Vice Chancellor's office received numerous requests from indigent students and student bodies seeking retroactive payment permission.

"The Senate, at its 200th regular meeting held on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, received information that the office of the Vice Chancellor had been inundated with requests from indigent students and student bodies seeking permission for retroactive payment of school fees and registration of courses.

"After evaluating the deliberations, the Senate, in its wisdom, decided to approve two weeks for all students who have yet to pay school fees and complete registration formalities for the 2023/2024 academic session."

The management urged all students who fall into this category to take advantage of this opportunity within the approved period, warning that this will be the last chance for backend registration.

"All students in this category are to seize this window of opportunity to pay their fees and complete registration, as this will be the last and final opportunity for such."
