The Students Union Electoral Commission of the faculty of Social and Management Sciences has declared Ogunsanmi Kolade, popularly know as Multiple, as the winner of the faculty presidential primary election in an election held yesterday.
This was made known to the students of the faculty through a press release signed by the SUEC Chairman, Comrade Lambert.
According to the press release, Comrade Ogunsanmi Kolade (Multiple) polled 15 votes to defeat his opponent, Comrade Akin-Ademola Emmanuel (D-REAL) who polled 13 votes.
Recall that the election had first been conducted at the departmental level between the two aspirants, where Comrade Ogunsanmi Kolade emerged as the winner. However, Comrade Akin-Ademola Emmanuel later countered the result after an official was signed by both parties before the election.
According to findings, several attempts were made to call both aspirants to order by the Department's President, Comrade Adesola Ikulajolu, and other Students Representative Council's members, but all proved abortive.
